The Regional Consortium Coordinating Council (RC3) Cyber Working Group and the State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial Government Coordinating Council (SLTTGCC) Cybersecurity Working Group have partnered to sponsor an informational webinar series on Federal cyber programs and activities.

The series launches February 25, 2016 at 3:00 pm EST with a presentation on FTC v. Wyndham Worldwide Corporation, delivered by the Federal Trade Commission’s lead counsel on the case. This one-hour session will focus on the implications of the Third Circuit Court’s 2015 ruling on the FTC’s authority to regulate cybersecurity.

Who should attend:  These public webinars, supported by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Office of Infrastructure Protection, are made available to any individual, organization, or government institution who has an interest in gaining a better understanding about a cyber ecosystem that is emerging at all levels of society. Participants will learn how to plug into ongoing initiatives, what capabilities and gaps exist, and how to find or develop opportunities to improve your community. Please feel free to forward this invitation to your colleagues.

Opportunities:  The partnering working groups of RC3 and SLTTGCC will announce, in concert with these national webinars, opportunities to get involved with their efforts to accomplish specified goals set out in the National Infrastructure Protection Plan.

About the sponsors: The Regional Consortium Coordinating Council (RC3) works to understand, connect, enable, and build partnerships between public and private entities for the protection of critical infrastructure and resilience of communities in the United States.

The State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial Government Coordinating Council (SLTTGCC) brings together geographically diverse experts from a wide range of critical infrastructure disciplines to ensure that state, local, tribal, and territorial officials play an integral role in national critical infrastructure and resilience efforts.

Both the RC3 and SLTTGCC are identified in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s National Infrastructure Protection Plan as flagship councils in the sector partnership structure. They leverage the expertise of their members to contribute valuable perspective to the national critical infrastructure planning process.
